The Most Important Of All?

Because it just seems a little, er, excessive to post two entries on my blog in one day, I’ve decided to post a link to this Newsweek article by Peter Plagens, which poses the question (with a multiple choice anwer): Which Is the Most Influential Work of Art Of the Last 100 Years?

Here’s the link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19390212/site/newsweek/.

Enjoy.

Well I suppose it's a bit of what came first the chicken or the egg to answer this question although I'm apt to think Duchamp's ready mades challenged current art paradigms to more an extent than Picasso's Les Demoiselles D'Avignon. This really can't be answered to any scientific extent I don't think and any answer would be purely based on opinion.

great article. love to know the history behind Les Demoiselles D'Avignon

Every top 100 list is highly subjective. However I have my favorite 100 artists, plus. And 100 works of art that I would have in my dream museum.
